Still able to be ferocious, cunning, superbly aware, nimble and fast while foraging, along with implementing stealth by using their small size advantageously (compared to the rest of their much larger primary taxonomic family).
Much like a ninja in the night, the birds within the Botaurinae subfamily leverage their camouflaged plumage amongst often tall grasses within a wetland environment, but during the brightness of the day!
